Well, I got to the airport early because since I was going to galveston, I figured I'd take a taxi into houston and visit my parents.  It was about six am, and I climbed into the Turbo Commander and started her up.  But as it was starting, I heard a bang and looked out to see Engine 1 billowing smoke.  I got a mechanic to take a look, and he said it would be a couple days before she'd be repaired.

I had to get going so I called my buddy who just happens to own a pilatus pc-12.  We talked, and eventually worked out a deal.  We decided to trade planes: I could take his pilatus and use it for the rest of my trip, and while I was gone he could use my rockwell.

So, an hour and a half later, I got ready to go

This plane is a combi, so I loaded it up with a few passengers and some freight to help pay for gas

Haha, this is great.  You went from my almost favorite plane to my favorite plane.  The weather radar is a nice touch.
