A very nice, comfy Cessna 182 RG...!

Postby Fozzer » Wed Jun 15, 2005 4:32 pm

Hello all...!
For anyone with loads of money, the Cessna 182 RG, (retractable gear) Skylane, is a nice step-up from the venerable Cessna 172 Skyhawk...
providing that you have passed the "change of type test"... ;)...!
This is a serious aeroplane for transporting your passengers swiftly and in comfort... 8)...!

It's increase in speed is due, in the main part, from being equipped with a retractable undercarriage, therefore vastly reducing drag.
(The 182 S Skylane is equipped with a fixed undercarriage).

The download comes with very nice Garmin GNS 430 and GNS 530 radios fitted as standard....
...but...
I find that I spend so much time fiddling with them in an attempt to obtain the data I require, that I am not looking out of the windows, where I am going, as one should, and therefore in imminent danger of crashing, or bumping into another aircraft.....:o...!
...so...
I have replaced the Garmin radios with my very nice Bendix-King radio installation.... ;)...!
Much more "understandable" to the equally venerable Fozz...Tee-Hee... ;D...!
I love all that "old-fashioned analogue stuff... ;)...!
LOL...!

Cheers all...!

Paul....parked at Half Moon Bay. (KHAF).

P.S. I am surprised that the 182 RG was not included amongst the default aircraft in FS 2004...
It was in FS 2002... ;)...!

Hi Roger...

You would not believe how long it took me to re-size and re-position all those seperate stacks by altering various numbers in the panel.cfg file and observing the results each time in the game...!
