Thun: New and Improved

Well, scenery making is addicting.  I have spent like 5 times as much time making scenery this week than flying.  I CANT STOP!!!  Well, one thing I wanted to do was make a sort of base in a place that was interesting.  I remembered this place called thun.  It's cool, because it is in switzerland, and they have mountains.  Also, it's near a pretty lake, and the runway is situated so that you cross a highway and fly over some buildings to land.

However, default, it is just a grass strip.  So I opened AFCAD, moved the runway a bit, and put in more stuff, including my own log cabin with RWY12

Hey, who knows what these windows are for, in all seriousness.  I would really like to know

Hi there Jake,
Why not go ahead and make that default grass runway into tarmac? Our very own Fozzer (Paul) provided us with a helpful program that does just that! The topic can be found HERE.

Add some more things from RWY12 and you'll have a fully funtional airport with static things areound it ;)

Cheers,
Ashar ;)

I used afcad, and I can make the runway tarmac in that, but I dont want to.  I wanted to leave it grass.
