I think it's pronounced Ho-ho-co-tlan.

I think it's pronounced Ho-ho-co-tlan.

yup, he's right. It's Mexican. Like Oaxaca. O-ha-ka.  ;D

Correct pronunciation is Shoshocotlan, it's Mayan and they cant say H. Xel-ha is shell-aah. To them Mexico is Meshico.(Spanish speaking = Mehico) Mayan people on the Caribbean coast of Mexico refuse to speak Spanish when addressed. However they all will speak Spanish when collecting their pay cheques.
