Ive been flying around the southwest US lately, and I stopped at KPGA near the grand canyon, and found something unexpected...

Ive never seen a Tri motor in the sim aside from the one you can fly. I dont think it was AI, because it didnt have a name and tail # floating above it like the rest of the AI. Oh, and Im flying a Cherokee Six by Fred Choat, Its not much to look at, but it flies wonderfully.

I bet it is AI, perhaps it just didn't have a label because it wasn't close enough to takeoff? I've seen many on the ground without labels until they reach a certain point.. ;-)

I never really paid attention to them until they are moving. Ill have to hang around and wait for it to take off, it would be interesting. I have seen a DC-3 doing touch and goes somewhere near seattle.

I saw the Vickers Vimy one time while flying around Seattle too........... :o
Actually I think all of the default planes are set to fly somewhere at sometime, trick is just finding them.  ;D

I acutally saw a Jenny and a tri-motor at Reading, PA when I came in on my Jenny. It was a nice little surprise.  :)

Neat! 8)

I agree with you about Choate's Cherokee 6 is not the best visual model but flies well indeed!

Actually this new model does fly a lot more like the real thing. The older ones would fly 170-180 KIAS  :-/

I have a friend who flies one in real life and he says 130-140 KIAS is more realistic... ;D
