Great shots!
I used to know a Polish WW2 pilot who never went home. H came to Britain in 1939 and flew Hurricanes, Spitfires and P-51's. His favourite was the P-51 and used to fly on escort missions. He once told me that the 'stang was so good to fly that you could get up to cruising altitude, set up the trim and then put your feet up to enjoy the ride, he told me that they used to sit up there and smoke! When I asked if this was a little dangerous due to the large fuel tank just behind the pilots head he replied that if anyone ever blew their aeroplane up because of smoking they never complained!

Just love those Tanaka planes. Really good fliers, easy on the framerates, and still really sweet-looking. I need to try that Jug!!

Nice shots.
THe P-51 has the wrong pilots name on the canopy rail.
Glamorous Glennis, in all versions, was piloted by then Capt. Charles Yeager.
He even had the name painted on the nose of th X-1 before he broke the speed of sound the first time.
