So, the world tour continues. Being a little bit fed up with the rusty DC-3 I started this tour with, I decided to look for something else. And what did I spot walking around at Rome's biggest airport? A VC-10 in Nigeria Airways livery.



It had a sign in the cockpit window: For Sale, Low Milage.


My wife, being Nigerian, asked me to buy it for her. So here we go again.

Touch down at the African mainland.

So you decided to go with something a bit more "heavy", eh?

I like that livery!

Bummer. I'm really going to miss that old soup can. I was curious to see how long it would take you to ditch her. Keep the tour going!  

Yep, it's somewhat 'heavier' than the DC-3, it's also a lot faster. So I can do more in less time. And because this livery is a tribute to the actual plane that crashed near Lagos, Nigeria in 1969.

Clipper, don't worry. That old rust bucket will make a comeback. Only not in this tour. Expect some spectacular shots of "Rusty" soon.
