hmmmm bit of a grey area I guess. Not an edit in the usual sense as the main pic hasn't been modified in any way but obviously it's an edit in that the pic has been combined with the splash template.

I know..... why don't we have a separate splash screens gallery which could be made from either edited pics or not ....  I reckon that could be a lot of fun
