I was just about to land, and switched through the views fast, but noticed a giant *something in the tower view. So I went back to it and saw THIS

I could swear that this thing is going to collide into Earth someday

Great shots, Do you have any idea what the parameters were when you got that huge moon? eg. time of day, season, location, fsskyword "full moon" add-on, I would love to recreate it at will, I'm sure some of the other guys would too... :)

It looks like a distortion trick partially achieved through the tower view perspective.

You're probably right, but I remember a while back someone else posted a night time shot with a huge moon which wasn't taken from the tower view. It was one of the most incredible shots I have ever seen. I would love to recreate that huge moon at will....The possibilities...

Well, I remember that shot (assuming we're speaking of the same one), and the person had either manually changed the parameters of the moon themselves or had dpwnloaded something (I think they did it themselves).  Nice shots :D

I'm sure we're talking about the same shot Beefhole. The moon filled about 3/4 of the screen. If I get really bored sometime soon, I'll go looking for it. I'm pretty sure it was in freeware screens. Probably in December..
