No editing, that would be going against the spirit of this particular forum.  Image just resized to meet the requirements.

;D ;D ;D  I get that from time to time with AI aircraft.  Looks like planes mating.  Get it on the ground and in the air, can understand it on the ground but not in the air

Mulitplayer....I wish.  I would love to find a good MP site where I can practice formation flying with someone else.  For now it's just AI aircraft on VFR flight plans and I tag along trying to stay in formation.

I've been trying out different aircraft to see which ones work well for holding formation.  The T-28 as it turns out works pretty well since the throttle is pretty responsive and doesn't tend to creep like some of the jets. The fighters I've tried (F-16, T-38, CT-114)don't work as well since setting the thrust precisely is very tricky. The t-28 also has a nice VC which is a must and it's graphically simple enough to keep the frame rates going pretty well.

Anyways here is the original shot from the opposite angle, revealing the secret.

Question is, why is the lead T-28, the AI aircraft, flying with its flaps down??  Strange AI behaivor indeed, but that's nothing new for AI.
