It's supposed to be a Twin Otter with a what ever company made it attitude indicator.
Looks good and normal to me.

It's been out for some time (This is the Twin Otter by Eric Dantes...)

You can get it from his site, or do a search for it on AVsim (there's a cool shark livery available too)!

It comes in three models, wheel, amph, float, and
has one of the best VCs there is. Rear cabin view
is beyond real.

Fit and finish, this is the plane that sets the bar for
payware or freeware.

I have downloaded several Otters and this one is a
"Keeper".

Thanks for the replies.

Not quite (An-24!!), but it's a very good example for the equality concerning the visual quality of freeware to payware.

It could do with better FDs (try the one from the PAD Twotter) and some more gimmicks (opening doors) 'though.

I would like the doors to open, and the plane is a
little too easy to fly I think. Seems to have a lot of
power.

The AN-14 has some of the best gimmicks, firstaid kit
and tiedowns.

There's a wheel-ski one for FS2002...thought there was one for FS2004.

As I said, try the FDs of the PAD Twotter. But you need to know how to edit .cfgs properly, since I don't want to write a tutorial in here. ;)

Try replacing the .air file (you'll have to rename it as well)

Make sure you back up the originals...

Then replace the following two sections of the aircraft.cfg file:

[WEIGHT_AND_BALANCE]

[airplane_geometry]

from the one that has the behavior you want (I did something similar with the Socata Trinidad)

try the one from the PAD Twotter

Interesting that you'd prefer the one without a VC...

I was talking about the FDs, not the model. ;)
No way I'd use a VC-less model!

One more thing...to get the Ski-wheel model, you have to download the repaints (the models are in that first download, but the repaints are what point to the ski-wheel and short-nose models).

Install those and have more models! ;)
