A little Flight Simulator evolution...

Well, I decided I'd locate a copy of the earliest Windows-based Flight Simulator game - Flight Simulator 5 (aka Flight Simulator 95). Once I did, and had it fully installed, I thought I'd relive some of my earliest Flight Simulation moments.

Hmm, interesting! In my humble opinion, though not exactly a copy of the real thing, that FS5 panel didn't look bad at all. Especially when keeping it's age in mind...

if you want, you can go back even further into the past. the result will be FS01, just a black screen with a bunge of green lines.  ;)

Yeah! I can remember a version where you had "combat"-mode. All of a sudden you had an armed cessna. Messerschmitts were shown as a model made out of three lines... Those were the days.

lol, I don't remember which version of FS we had on our old XT computer, all we had was monochrome monitor, and big line boxes for ground below us! :-)
