mikebigtoe -  Nice screens - When I was stationed in Germany in the early eighties, the A-10's would fly down our bunker line and then buzz the guard tower. they would be on top of us before we even heard their them, and those engines do have a very distinct sound to them.  We would have been toast if it had been real. I have always been impressed with the A-10's after that - what a bird!

lol, a silly looking bird at first, but then you see it fly and here those amazing engines (after it's gone by... :P) and all doubt is overridden with the increased levels of testosterone that bubbles to the skin all of a sudden..

Wonderful shot, thanks for bringing back memories of past airshow demonstrations..(as I have never experience this any other place..)

Thanks for the nice comments guys!!! I live in Kalamazoo, MI and the town next door to mine serves as an air national gaurd base. A-10's are stationed there so I get to see them quite a bit. I also live about 3 blocks from Western Michigan University and the football staduim is lined up perfectly from my house. A few weeks ago I had 4 A-10s fly in formation at tree top level directly over my house for the last football game of the year!!!! You had no clue they were comming until they were right on top of the house!!! Man I had a grin on my face from ear to ear for the following 5 hours.
