KATL to EGKK...Delta 777-200
Posted: Sat Dec 11, 2004 11:04 pmAs usual its been a couple weeks sence I flew for my VA. After leaving off in Atlanta I decided to fly through Europe on my way back to Asia. After checking flights I had a couple options, Heathrow or Gatwick. Not in the mood for a busy airport, I choose Gatwick.
Taxiing out for departure with DL22 to LFPG on the parallel taxiway. Its aprox. 17:45.
Getting airborn.
Climbing out with downtown Atlanta in the background. Also quite a bit of turbulence till we made it above the clouds.
As usual the weather is never the best on my aproches. ATC cleared us for landing runway 8L. Somethings different tonight. Most of my flights into and out of Gatwick have always used 8R. We are coming in a bit low and also with a mix of rain and snow, but nearly dead centerline for there was barely any wind. Also very strange for my landings I almost always have turbulence
Finaly parked and unloaded. The snow is getting heavier and I am off to a hotel for the night. Sometime soon I will be making my way to Dubai. But knowing how things go around here it will probly be next week or another 2 weeks
Unfortunatly my shots from midflight did not take. There was at least one other I thought post worthy.
