This is based on a design I created a few years back.   Also have built a 1/72 "scale" model of it (well, as it really doesn't exist, can it be said to be to scale?).  With the advent of FSDS it can now be flown on the sim, which has helped fuel my interest in the whole FS experience.

I've heard that if you like to build planes and see if they can actually fly (from their shape) X-Plane is great to try...

Sounds like X-Plane has a pretty amazing physics engine. I tried X plane once but it just did not appeal to me I personaly thought the planes flew like crap. It was not very user friendly either.

I've heard it's great for creating planes and for it's physics engine, but it has no auto-installer, the scenery looks ugly (several places are not modeled), and the planes don't look as nice as FS2004.  It's easier to make planes for (i've heard)...
