I'm into light twins just now and I've been looking for a good Navajo for a while. Well here she is folks.

An old Pilkington/Lucariny FS2002 Gmax model, FDE tweaked, new paintjob and combined with an old FS2000(?) panel I've had for ages - luvverly.

And before anyone asks, no, she doesn't have a VC but that doesn't worry me. Now I'd just like to find some cockpit views.

Hiya Chompy. Tricky that. The package I've put together is based on the FS2002 Pilkington/Lucariny plane that I've updated a bit and given a more realistic FDE to (usual thing - planes like this don't have the roll and pitch rates of a Pitts Special  :D ). I've teamed that up with an old FS2000 panel that I've put the FS9 GPS into - it's still piston when it should be turbo but who cares...it all feels right - then I've just done a slightly snazzy new repaint.

I think I've now found some cockpit views so if you're interested I'll get the necessary perms and upload the whole thing.

The only alternative I've found is the FSD payware, which is excellent I'm sure, but payware isn't my scene. Just too easy  ;) even if I did want to pay the cash (which I don't!)

I hmm'd and haaa'd about the FSD Navajo for 6 months after learning about it. I finally decided I had 25 bucks to spend on it, so I did. Am I ever glad I did. It is the only payware I have, and I feel it was WELL worth the money.

I see you had the same issues with all the freeware Navajos too. I have more than 7 different freeware Navajos (my favorite aircraft), but because of my time in them, I get more frustrated with them than I enjoy them, so none of them are even installed. I'd find a neat panel here, a good sound there, but I haven't found a model that is done to the standards of most other freeware aircraft.

I took this picture earlier this year, take a look at things like the nose angles, the engine cowls, the corners of the windows, the spacing of the windows, the size of the windows, the spinner size, de-ice boot size, the back window.

:D

Hiya Mark

This was just a few-hours-spare-time-over-the-weekend-job. You know, you just want to do something that you can see finished and not have forever sitting in your work-in-progress with the 'problem' label hanging on it.

Even so, it's quite a nice little'un so I guess I will upload as there don't seem to be too many Navajos around. And if I include my plain white textures it might encourage a few more repaints too.

OooAaar -- here they be

Rollerball, I noticed you into light twins.  So am I.  Can you give me a list of what you have and where you obtained them?
