The Infamous Mt. St. Helens "Nightglow"

Postby Bell206freak » Fri Nov 19, 2004 12:51 pm

Ok.. After experementing with the scenery SDK for FS9 I decided to test a package out - recreating the infamous "nightglow" from the growth of the new Mt. St. Helens lava dome (which scientists say - if it keeps growing at its present rate - could replace the pre-1980 peak's size in 11.5 years).

I'm flying the default Bell 206B JetRanger and the view is slightly north and just above Johnston Ridge.

(For images of the real Nightglow, check out the Johnston Ridge Volcanocam during clear weather at night. it can be seen by going here: http://www.fs.fed.us/gpnf/volcanocams/msh/ )
