Invading Norway...
Sgt. Omag gave me the mission to invade and conquer Norway. Since we Germans already have managed to do that, he wanted me to lead that mission.
The Seargent didn't tell me why 'though. I think he mumbled something like "war on fish terrorism" or so.
I've always known that he doesn't have all of his screws tight, but well, let's drop that.
Anyways, the first thing to do was getting some stuff to the coast. No problem, since the norwegian armed forces seemed to have tomatoes on their eyes.
I've set up camp somwhere in the middle of nowhere near the sea. I needed an airfield to get the heavy stuff in. But since two airfields are better than one, a second invasion force, lead by the Sarge himself had to take Vaslo airfield southwards of our position.
The assault was conducted by some SAS troops (dunno where the Sarge got them from...lol!
).
My job was to fly them in with a CH-47 (marked in RAF colours - clever,Sarge!
) and then report in at Vaslo.
Leaving the camp in the cloak of darkness.

A black shape in the morning light.

The LZ.

Getting out of there as fast as I can.

Thundering to the next fjord. Perfect for some low-level flying.

What does the Sarge always say? "Only a clean chopper is a good chopper.

My co-pilot farted, hence the open loading ramp.

Almost there.

On final.

Parked and secured.

The mission was a complete success. Two airfields taken, everything is there and with a more than sixty year old tactic,we've overrun Norway. But suddenly,Seargeant Omag lost interest and we retreated.
Sometimes, those superiors are stranger than women...
