12noon leaving base camp in Nebraska equipment checked everthings ready.. the rain is bouncing of the runway at the moment but the forcast sounds very promising..
very high level risk from twisters in this area lets keep our fingers crossed.

we had been flying for about an hour when all of a sudden the friend i was with shouted touchdown..sure enough there she blows..wow!

we franticly got the equipment ready this was gonna be good..

after circling round taking shots i prepared to bring the plane down on to the road we coulden't miss out on such a great chance..


battling with the heavy winds i managed to put here down..luckily for us and the small town a few miles down the road the twister looks to be heading north..

i quickly jumped out set some equipment up and started clicking away like mad these were going to be some awsome shots,my heart was thumping the adreanaline was flowing..........then the unpredictable twister changed course straight our way i jumped in and we high tailed it out of there screaming with laughter.
that's what stormchasing is all about..fantastic

later that night everybody in the stormchasing community was buzzing we had a great night i can tell ya.

Is that twister effect an add-on or is it default?

which one's would you have put up for the contest i like the landing shot best myself...but haven't even thought about what i'm going to do for the contest yet...
maybe i should have used that one oh well..

Take your time...you can always do another Tornado shot later.

By the way, would anyone fly a 172 in real life in such conditions...just curious.

If flying a 172 within 20-30 miles of a thunderstorm is a no no, then to answer your question, NO!

I assume this is an FS site- I'bve never heard of it.  Could you give us a URL?  Google turned up no results.
