Windy skies in the midwest
Posted: Mon Oct 18, 2004 3:46 pmI checked the weather and they are calling for gusts of up to 40kts. I'm a little woried but still planning on making my flight. Today I fly from KORD-KATW. I meet my crew at the airport and we discuss the flight. Everything seems fine and everyone boards. As we were climbing out of Chicago the winds did'nt seem too bad but there were some dark clouds. 
Then we get to crusing altitude and its just perfect.
Then on decsent it starts getting pretty gusty.
The passengers start to get a bit woried and so do I.
Then it gets really really bad on short final I thought I was not going to make it. Thankfully we did but not lined up at all.
We made it down safe but it will be a day that I and my passengers will likely not forget.
