Heading South
Posted: Thu Sep 16, 2004 4:57 pmWell, I finally have a plane of my own. It's not new, but it does what it should. I went up to Sault St. Marie on Monday to get it (after filling out all the necessary paperwork).
The weather was overcast, IFR conditions, so I filed a plan to KTVC. Fortunately, they directed me so that I could see the Locks....
With the weather not cooperating, I didn't shoot any more
The next day was better weather.
Also, a friend of mine was having a BBQ out on Spider Lake. I called him and told him I would be there (didn't say how I would get there though) 
On approach to Spider Lake (don't ask me why it's called "Spider Lake"
I didn't name it).
One of my friend's guests took a shot of me flying by (not knowing it was me)!
Making sure there are no boats out.
And now on final!
And heading towards my friend's house (what I would give to see their faces as I turned towards them!)
And parked...everyone was speechless!
Well, I came out and everyone asked me a bunch of questions. They had no idea! One guest told me that I sure knew how to make an entrance!
