Regarding Omag's Swiss challenge...

Postby Staiduk » Thu Sep 09, 2004 10:27 am

Oooo! I likes-a thees one!!!

OK; I'll admit it - I'm insane.  ;D I went with me ol' backup; the B737.  ::)

Takeoff actually went easy; just back up until the tail is in the trees; the gun 'er with full up trim. When the nose lifts; slap on full flaps and hit gear. Juuuuuuuust cleared the canyon wall:

Just gotta say it: Gorge-ous scenery!!

Turning for the airfield-in-a-hole...

Scraping the rust off the belly on approach.... (Them pines are tickly!!  ;D ;D)

OK; the first try didn't go quite the way I planned....

Second attempt wasn't too hot either. ;)

Still working on it - I'll get it - really!  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

LOL!
Hey; if nothing else; thanks to Omag for making folks aware of this scenery. This is the first time this happened; but shot #2 just doesn't do justice to what I saw climbing out of the canyon; it literally took my breath away! Wonderful scenery!

I think your wing got clipped to short, nice shots and a great belly landing.
