Epilogue
Well, getting ready to go as Storm's BBQ was yesterday
I got myself to the airport to meet Alundra. Actually, she got there before me, with lots of antique bric-a-brac and decorations (I have no idea how she managed to find an antique dealer open on Labor Day, so don't ask...). I was flabbergasted with this. Alundra read my face and told me not to worry (smiling a knowing smile all the time). We went to the plane Mr. G arranged for me to transport Alundra (and her antique tchotchkes) back home.
Well, I guess this will work. I found a note on the yoke saying "you've flown this before, you'll do fine."

I do want to know how he knew about my trip to Mt. Rushmore and the trip back?
So I got to work packing with boxes from the shipping area (they had plenty of extras slated for the compactor, and we had packing material. I found myself thinking of a song by Peter, Paul, and Mary (written by John Denver)...
singing Well, all my bags are packed, I'm ready to go...

record scraping sound
Umm...but I'm not leaving on a jet plane exactly!
Heeeyneway, completing my checks...

We ran into some bad weather over Detroit (moderate rain), but it cleared up somwhere over Howell or so, and I got this sunet shot...

There were also several shutterbugs who snapped some shots of my flying and e-mailed them to me. There were lots of good ones so I had to choose the best...sorry to those of you who I didn't include. :'(

One of them even caught me landing. This got a bit tricky as I was still at 4500 (the airport comes up fast in these birds). Still and all, I managed to get down with a 3-pointer...and not a single tchotchke damaged!

After unloading the plane I snapped this shot (not bad if I do say so myself...)

Well, I have to sub tomorrow, and I've rented a plane for the flight back to Cherry Capital (KTVC) in Traverse City. I'll take some shots and post them maybe tonight or tomorrow!
