Toronto to Toronto......Part 43

Postby ludo62 » Sun Aug 29, 2004 3:06 pm

After Davy had his own short version of a flight RTW but he had to stay in Cana, Benin. We both then had a good look at the plane's condition now that we have all these tools available for us to use :D. The Twin Bonanza is in top shape and ready for our next voyage to Nigeria's port Harcourt . Here we are taking off from Cana  ;D.

More of Benin's beautiful scenery 8).

Getting closer and closer to the Benin and Nigerian border ;).

Last major airport in Benin, it's the Murtala Muhammed Airport, isn't that a biggie  ;D

One of many breathtaking lakes in Nigeria as we approach Port Harcourt Airport :).

Noon, and a safe landing in a beautiful valley 8).

Isn't that luxury, having a gas pump in front of your own hangar (too bad we still have to pay for the gas :( ) I have to check some stuff in my office and send an e-mail to my wife to let her know where i am and what i'm doing ::). We do have electricity in the office and hangar, but it seems that they still need to invent running water in Africa, we only have a small hand pump in the back :P. Not realy a problem for Davy he doesn't like washing himself anyway(PU, YUK) :-[ . When i came out of the office i noticed that there were a lot flying insects buzzing around, at first i didn't mind it too much because we AREin Africa >:( . Then we saw a plane landing..........i wonder what it is ???.
Image
Well what do you think of that, it's my grandpappy with one of his re-painted Mustangs, isn't she a beauty :o. Granddad said that he was just dropping it off, and that somebody is picking him up to take him home ::). I wished that he could stay but at 75 he's still a very busy businessman (i wish that i'll be that busy when i'm at his age). Davy and i are going to take the Mustang into the hangar and give her a thourough check, and maybe later we can have a test flight to see how she performs, if we can get rid of these annoying flying bugs that are always buzzing around our heads Bzzzzzzzzzz :P.
Image
Wanna see our test flight with the souped up Mustang ???, then stay tuned and you will see it happen before your own eyes :o . Happy flying

Ludo :)

Oooo another story yay. Nice shots . I think you should get your own show souping up planes, something like "Fly with Funkmaster Ludo". Can't wait for the next flight.
