Hi all, hope you like these! Beautiful trainer, never had the chance to fly one!

Having had only 3 hours in a Tiger Moth, to be then upgraded to Chipmunk was like going from a Triumph cub to a 650 Bonneville back then. The Chippie was fully aerobatic, even though it felt like being in a washing machine approaching the stall. This sim Chipmunk will let you do perfect stall turns (Hammer heads), loops and slow rolls. Immelmann turns are a delight. Try doing 3 full turns of a flat spin using the VC. It's quite the little plane. I think MS should use it for basic flying lessons in FS9.  :-/

You are right the DHC-1 is a great aeroplane.
The RCAF aircraft was probably the nicest of the lot.
I don't know whether you knew or not but the master switch was between the two crew and was easy to turn off or on by mistake while getting into or out of the aircraft.
The fuel guages were also in the wing filler caps both port and starboard.
Some aircraft had half fabric and half metal wings with a wooden main spar I believe. (memory is a little rusty now)
I almost bought one but was $12,000 Cdn. away from the asking price and we could not come to an agreed price.  
All in all a Great aeroplane...thanks for posting it.

Thanx for all replies, I actually met an Air Commodore from the RAF at my shop and he was looking for surface control locks, and asked him what aircraft it was going to be used for, and he told me he owns his own chipmunk, I wanted to ask him if I could go flying with him, but i didnt have the guts!  :-X  :-[
I was also in the air training corps sqn 1146 and I flew vigilant powered gliders, bulldogs and a ride in a hercules and a sea king helicopter! The good old days!
I finally recieved my class one medical certificate this morning so I'm happy, now I can persue my dream.

Just one thing for those of you whom flew the chippie, does it yaw to the right once airbourne?
