Toronto to Toronto....Part 21

Postby ludo62 » Tue Aug 24, 2004 1:24 pm

4:30AM, ready to depart to Barcelona El Prat(LEBL) airport. I had a good time here in Marseille, it's true what they say about Marseille that the nightlife is hot and steamy and i listend to jordanj's advice by not doing what he would do ;D ;D. If you ever make it to Marseille you should try the Vino Provence it tasted heavenly yum yum :D. Time to go more and more south.
Image
After takeoff i found that my plane was feeling kinda weird and hard to keep level, so i tried AP and even that didn't work properly. I don't know what's wrong but i feel i'm losing controle over my plane ???.
Image
Eventhough i'm kind of concerned of the condition my plane is in, I'll still try to take some pictures as i'm shaking around in my cockpit as like i was sitting on a raging bull ::).
Image
The closer i get to Barcelona the more worse my plane seems to get, it just seems like it's falling apart at times WHAT'S WRONG..........now my engines seem to be stalling.............i'm losing airspeed fast :o :o. I'm sending out a distess call to the Barcelona airport that i need to land NOW >:(.
Image
Attempting an emergency landing, I don't think that much is still working in my plane i'm gettting failures in every system on board, i don't even know if my brakes will work or not :( . Here we gooooooo.
Image
My brakes did still work eventhough only partially ::). I'm glad i have my two feet on the ground (boy was i scared there for a moment  :o).
Image
I had the local mechanic look at my plane and he said that it was a manufacturers fault to the engines, hydraulic system and electrical wiring. The plane is a total writeoff and couldn't fly any more :( . So here i am in @%$# Barcelona (sorry for the language). I called my granddad to see if there was something he could do and he said to fly down to Valencia Spain and that there would be a surprise for me, so now i need to rent a Cessna to fly down to Valencia (lucky that Valencia was on my list of favorite places to go ;D. I now need to talk to the rental guy called Juan-Maria Valdez, he somehow knows a guy that lives in Michigan that loves the Makinac bridge and the Lancair Legacy, who could that be hmmmmmm ;D ;D ;D.
Image
More to come soon :D. Happy flying .

Ludo :)

Man! Sorry about the plane...bummer....

At least you can maybe sell the plane body, if it is in good shape (a big market for that)!

Juan can fix you up with transportation!
