My uncle got a shot of me taking off...

East of Denver, I ran into some heavy clouds. For this reason, I took the plane down to 8000 rather than 9500.

The clouds were still dense as I was traveling over the Kansas/Nebraska border...

And now the cloud cover has cleared, showing a patchwork of farms that make up Nebraska.

After I landed at Lincoln (KLNK), I went to meet my cousin, she and her husband wanted to go flying. Well since the Lancair is too small for all three of us, we looked for a larger plane to rent. The local company had a Mooney for rent. They also had a Beechcraft Twin Bonanza, but some Canadian was using it for a trip around the world (or maybe he bought it). I shot this as I went to the gates to pick them up...

My cousin's mother-in-law shot this as I was taxing up to the gates to pick them up...

And she shot this one as we boarded (I was getting airport info at the time). Too bad she didn't come out earlier as her son was trying to squeeze in the back...these aren't much roomier than a Cessna 172...the poor sod lost the toss, and he's almost as big as me!

A shot of downtown that my cousin took...

Another pilot took this of us...

She also took some shots of her poor husband (looking more and more like a sardine), but out of respect for him, I won't post them here...
After dropping them off (her husband enjoyed the flight despite his cramped quarters), I found myself sandwiched between these 2 heavies...

I had to hold for them as I taxied back to parking (no big surprises there. Then I was told to hold position on the runway (the one where a heavy was on final)
