Toronto to Toronto......Part 10

Postby ludo62 » Sat Aug 21, 2004 12:41 pm

5:15PM, after a good nights rest i quickly did an oil change and made some minor repairs to the rudder. I finally said goodbye to the family and friends of Chief Waitondo and thanked them for everything they had done for me, i especially like a little boy called Endoe he gave me an amulette to keep me safe during my long journey. When i was talking to the guys from customs last night, it was very clear that not everything i had onboard would pass customs ( 6 cases of Molson Canadian, a couple of bottles of rye and the fried bologna Splash gave me ;D ), so i put everything in my special hiding spot ( and NO i'm not telling you where that spot is). Now i'm leaving Nunavut Canada, and heading to Kangerlussuaq Airport (BGSF)which is in Sondre Stromfjord Greenland

Magnificent sunrise over Nunavut 8).

Leaving Nunavut and my homeland Canada behind, it will be some time before i'm back home again :( .

Flying ove the Davis Strait high up in the clouds :D

Approaching the main land of Greenland with the tiny airport in the distance (look at the location it's right in the fjord) looks very nice if you ask me

Landed without any problems, and now i need to have my plane inspected by the local authorities, i hope they won't find anything ::) . I'm not staying here to long because i would like to make it to Iceland today as i am to meet with a couple of friends who want to tour Europe .

Stay tuned, more is coming  :D . Happy flying

Ludo :)

Very very very nice shots Ludo. I love pic #5, that's amazing . If you keep going at this pace you'll probably be able to see the closing ceremonies on the 29th in Athens.
