gets me in the mood to lift my ass of this chair and get airborne in my Ka-8. it's been two weeks but sadly enough, they expect some showers here today so...

I was never into soaring, but those shots make me want to ditch the engine.

Landing a glider is no harder than a dead-stick landing in a plane. You just have to think about the approach a little bit more and be careful with speed.

indeed, when landing a glider the speed is the most important thing to keep an eye on. of course this counts also for any other plane. from where i fly, the trees located not far from the treshold are also important! ;)
with the lack of an engine, you have only one chance to land the damn thing...one shot one kill.

Nice pics. I like soaring in Switzerland its very scenic there. That looks like Wolfgang Pipers DG100 ;D He has released a DG202 and a Discus just recently. Both of these now have working varios ;D so you get a nice beeping noise when your going up if you turn it on.
I see you remebered your gear ;) I somtimes forget as most of my gliders have fixed wheels or skids lol.
