Stormy night flight to St. Maarten
Posted: Wed Aug 04, 2004 9:54 pmI saw the pics BNL2001 posted of his St. Maarten landing and it got me thinking that I would like to land in the airport that has such a great reputation for aviation. So I gave it a try. Real weather provided me with a light show and poor visibility.
Caught a lightning flash here. I had the flaps down for extra lift on the short runway at...hmmm, I can't remember where I started.
Just after takeoff. Almost ran out of runway.
Mid-flight shot out over the islands.
Hope you guys enjoy the pics even though they're a little dark. Unfortunately for me, I didn't do as good as BNL2001 and took a dump into the ocean. Hence no landing shots. Hmmm....
