On My Way (Don't Know Where I'm Going) 11
Posted: Sun Jul 04, 2004 11:55 pmWell it was about an hour and a half drive up to Hulett but well worth the trip when we got there to experience the Moni Gliders.
Reese and Jade are the owners of these birds. Apparently Moni owners are a tight-knit bunch. Moni Motorgliders were introduced in 1981. Moni (later to be INAV) went out of business in 1986, leaving some 380 builders/owners in the lurch.
There were actually two sitting there to use. I took one up while Eric took these shots of me...
I think this is the Black Hills Forest National Park (SW of Devil's Tower). Can't be sure though...
The one thing I will say about these is that they're reeaalll tricky to land. It took a lot of work to get this one down.

After that I was a bit tired. It was really something to turn the engine off and just listen to the air rushing by! Splash, you were right!!!
