For thoses who doubt the power of the FX5200. Took these thee shots at dawn over the Maskoka Lakes in Bill Lyons Cub Classic.
First one was taken with sliders max, 8X AF, 4X AA. Other two shots were taken on the fly with my usual flying settings, medium high  scenery, Ultra High aircraft, 8X AF, no AA.

Frames very. 25fps (locked at 25fps) at smaller airfields with default aircraft. 10-20fps at larger airports with lots of AI. Can drop below 10 in area's where I have complex addon scenery installed.

The trap to avoid is to argue different brands of cards (processors, brands of computers, and hardware for that matter) the way some people argue politics, religion, etc.  I've had better luck with my RAEDON 9500 (which runs as a 9700 thanks to some new drivers I've installed).

It does have it's issues (what hardware doesn't?)

Nice shots, and a neat comparision as well.  It serves to show the difference between having AA on and off...Is that the default cub you're flying or the super cub available here?

It's Bill Lyons Cub Classic. It's available here, at Avsim, and at Golden Eagles homepage if you want it.

On the subject of cards, I've said it before and I'll say it again. The only difference between the big boys and the little guys is the big boys do the job faster. As for image quality, I've seen no difference.

Don't know how people get so worked up over graphics card brands.        ??? The difference between the two is so small now. Just go out and buy what ever's on sale.  :)
