World War II patrols over Hawaii, the first one at night the day before the others.  

Beautiful sunset that I had to photograph while turning home for Pearl Harbor.


The next day I set out at 11:00 in a light rain.  First area for patrol: Oahu.

Crossing the island, quite close to Waimea Canyon.





Attacked by two meatballs, and I lost my right wing.  I bailed out successfully, but the plane crashed.



I know, the texture on the rear fuselage in the last pic wasnt working for some reason... but they're still nice.

Its because the texture breaks off. if you watch the replay it shows you.
btw. nive textures on that second corsair  :P

Whoopps!, So that was the plane I shot down.. I was patroling the area today also.
