Ferihegy to Booker Pt I

Well it was time to get my beloved IX from its home in Budapest over to Booker (High Wycombe) for the airshow season (more money in the UK
), so at 4am I'm doing the pre-flight, having a cup of tea and getting ready, by half-past I was into the wild blue (well bluish) yonder...
Out of Ferihegy (LHBP)

Getting on course and climbing to 10,000 feet

Early morning over Bratislava

As we get over Austria the weather turns nasty, lots of cloud and strong wind, I have to fight the aircraft all the way to Belgium, this is knackering!

As I get over Belgium the weather starts to improve

Down safely with just enough fuel to taxi in

The route covered so far and the next bit...

So down safely (and with only 6.6 gallons of go-go juice left at La Sauveniere (EBSP) for a quick top-up of juice, a visit to the loo to reprocess all that tea (no toilet in a Spit!), and scoff a load of Belgian choclates for the energy
