using the Dakota repaint for the default Douglas DC-3

I flew it from Southhampton in the UK to Cherbourg in France... Over the Channel and fields where so many brave men lost there lives...

This old lady, who has seen the real thing will take us over the channel

On route... engines humming

Over the Channel, what must have gone trough the heads of the 30.000 paratroupers who did this flight 60 years ago...

Normandy comes in sight...

Reaching the shores of France... looking peacefull these days...

Toutching down at Cherbourg...

All passengers have left the plane... on route to the memorialservices...

Great shots Omag, I wanted to do a simlar flight in the same plane yesterday, but I decided against it since I don't have forever to wait until that thing crossed the channel.

Great shots Omag

Cheers
Jeff

P.S. when did you land at Cherbourg? I landed at 6:37 a.m. in a bug.

P.P.S. did the same farmer offer you a drink too?

P.P.P.S. Was you the one who stole my bug? ;D

Very nice pics, where can I find that paint scheme? Is it for FS9?

Thanx guys, nice replies.

Stormtropper: a one hour flight really isn't that long to me  ;D - it isn't a fast way to travel, but one gets there.

Meyekul: this is a repaint of the default FS9 Douglas DC-3. I think i found it on avsim or flightsim.com ( downloaded it a while a go and saved it for this day)

Stormtrooper, 11 o clock is early not late. ;) We always see the next day in barely without exception! I like the night.... and also the early hours. 8) The days are so long now up here in Inverness its a joy to stay up. We are having about 19+ hours light a day at the moment.  ::) 8)
