Coastal UK (Leg2b)

After a lovely breakfast and a stroll round Exeter I set off in the late afternoon to complete the leg to Bournemouth.

Glad to be back in the air  ;D

Chesil Beach below ..... a 10 mile long natural breakwater/Spit composed of mostly gravel ...

.... culminating in Portland bill which along with Weymouth forms Portland harbour an important naval harbour where decomissioned ships are layed up.

Now passing over Poole Harbour one of the largest natural harbours in the world.

Parked at Bournemouth with a younger cousin in the background  ;)

Splendid shots. One correction though, Chesil beach is made up of Shingle, not gravel. ;D ;)

Hehe Chesil Beach looks odd with grass on it :o ;D Awesome shots though ;)
