I decided to take a flight from Amsterdam to Bristol. I was given the all clear and started to taxi - after a while I came across a transavia 737 going at turtle pace.


I wasn't going to wait for him! Unfortunately during the manoeuvre one of the passengers complained of smelling smoke.

By now it was a little more obvious something was wrong -

It was however decided that if we got it in the air we would get to Bristol perfectly safetly (despite the differing opinion of other members of the household) - ATC announced me cleared for takeoff.

After about 20 minutes Taxiing I got to about fifty feet up when it decided it was having none of it!

Needless to say I crashed, and had to start all the way from the beggining!

lol I was thinking the same thing Ant.

Serves you right for trying to pass on the taxiway.  That's about as much of a "no-no" as boarding the passengers on the OUTSIDE of the aircraft!

Your airline has some mighty strange policies Bird Man!  ;D

All I could think of when I saw the pic of your jumbo trundling along behind the 737 was "I didn't know Transavia hired out little old ladies as pilots??!!"

You should have tried opening the doors, get some wind blowing through that plan to put the fire out. lol  ;D

Well Birdman, don't allow me to take a flight with yr airline. I think I'd prefer to fly with Ozzy! Well i think I would anyway.
