Hey Ozzy. That looks like fun. :)

I've mentioned this before & no disrespect to Bill Lyons but that Tiger does not look quite right. I won't bore you with details but the perfectionist in me prefers the John Woodside version.

John flies them too, right down to some of the examples he modelled. He probably knows more about the old girl than I do. :)

PS. The Tiger has no spoilers or even wheel brakes. It does have automatic slats on the top wing. ;)

I've got Johns model as well, I just like the scarf flapping in the breeze on Bills. Little things please little minds I guess ;D

Awsome shots there Ozzy. Shows that this aging lady still has a spark in her ... Well you get the point.   ;)

I just wonder if Hagar used to fly in them the way you do...

Not quite but we used to spin them in those days. I've also done a few simple aerobatics like loops during a test flight with the chief flying instructor. This wasn't normally allowed on our aircraft as it strains the heck out of the engine, shortening its life. I think he was pleasantly surprised I didn't throw up.* Not likely. I can take all that stuff. ;D

*PS. If I had it would be me that had to clear up the mess. 8)

Ya know, now I've gotta try one of these out, and I'll probably get hooked, and I'll never fly a "real" plane again, and it'll be all your fault.  Thanks guys. ;)

Right. I want Ozzy to fly the length of the golden gate bridge inverted in that. ;D

If that airfiles correct then my bet is he won't make it. ;D

Nice shots Ozzy!

I forgot that had smoke effects, That's an IFR training hood isn't it? Pfffft! IFR in a Moth!

The Tiger has a standard RAF panel with the basic blind flying instruments that were used in RAF fighters. The next step up was advanced training including night-flying in the Harvard (or Miles Master) & in some cases straight onto a single-seat Hurricane or Spitfire. No autopilots or GPS in those days. This is real flying. :P ;D

That training hood looks absurd ;D I'd never do simulated (or real) IFR flying in a tiger moth unless it had an atitude indicator.
