Fantastic stuff ;D Nice shots, nice flying and nice aircraft. I wish we had an Fw190 and 109 on the display scene for real.

There used to be a 109 a decade or so back, what happened to it?
Oh and the 190 is making a comeback, there is a company in Germany making them again, and allegedly one is on order for the UK.... I'll see what more bumf I can get ;)

Mark

Ps. There is a replica 190 flying in Switzerland that is meant to be doing an airshow in Croatia shortly, guess who might just be visiting a Croatian airshow next month ;D

109G Black Six was based at Duxford but only had a short flying time before it needed to retire. Sadly on it's last airshow outing it ended up in a ditch just accross the M11 whilst landing back at Duxford. The pilot was OK and it is now on show, fully restored, at Hendon I think.
Taff Smith has a Hispano Buchon (Merlin engined Spanish built 109) on the airshow scene this year but it just isn't quite the real thing is it ??? Black Six had a fantastic sound.
I hope we get one of those 190s over for a show here some time.

The latest is Roger that the plane has been stripped down for painting (this photo was 2 months ago), so she'll be flying through the summer airshow season. I'll try and contact a friend of Gilles and see where he's planning to fly...
