I'm not a Midwife!! (PT1)

My first day as a pilot for the RFDS 05.35 hrs.
"This is Broken Hill RFDS control. Welcome to the Royal Australian Flying Doctor Service." said the Radio Operator. "Heres your first assignment. We have a pregnant woman being transfered by ambulance to Wilcannia airstrip shes in the latter stages of pregnancy and has taken a fall. We are worried about the unborn and need to get her to hospital for closer monitoring ...... unfortunately the weather forcast isn't good and you need to beat the storms back. The ambulance should meet you at the strip ....... good luck and Take Care." I picked up the Doc on the way to the plane.... pre flighted and was off and taxiing within 15 mins.
Broken Hill - Wilcannia 110nm E.NE.. GPS programmed and lining up for take off.

Turning into the sunrise.

The ambulance driver snapped this as I lined up for final.

Turning at the end of the strip to taxi back to the ambulance and kicking up some dust.

Patient ready for transfer ..... the Doc is just on the radio passing on info about her current condition before transfering her from the ambulance.

See (PT2) for the outcome..........
cheers
