PS. The good old Tiger Moth first flew in 1931.

OOoooOOO did it ...... the author of this download has livery for 1927 on this aircraft ... thanx for pointing out the mistake  ;D

I like to think I know a bit about the dear old Tiger Moth. I worked on them every day for a number of years & also learned to fly on them. My feelings for the Tiger are much the same as yours for the Spitfire.

I like the old Tigers, beautiful planes, they and the Stearmans are my favourite biplanes. I could happily spend days pottering around in FS in them
Now if I could just get my paws on a real one........

I know where there are enough parts to build at least 8 brand new Tiger Moths. Mind you, it would cost you a fair bit. At one time you could get one in airworthy condition for around

Thanks Mav. I never tried it as it's not visually accurate. This might seem picky but having worked on them I'm familiar with every nut & bolt. I prefer John Woodside's version. http://www.homepages.mcb.net/bones/04FS/aircraft/dh82/dh82SS.htm
This looks & feels right to me. After waiting several years for a decent FS version of the Tiger I couldn't believe my luck. With the included Mike Hambly sound package you can almost smell the oil.

PS. John told me he still flies some of the Tigers he modelled so he's more familiar with the old girl than I am.

I'm downloading John Woodside's  moth pack now but remember flying it in fs2002
Have a fly in Bills,I dunno there something about it that just feels right:) (not sure about the thing on top of the fuz near the tail:) ) Also I vaguely remember you building a fsds ver way way ago ya ever finish it?

Those are the anti-spin strakes. They weren't fitted to earlier models & my old boss always said they weren't necessary. One of our club aircraft never had them fitted & we never had any problems. John's package features both versions.

I forgot all about my version when I tried John's. No contest.
Then my HD fried & I lost the source file along with all the others. My own fault for not backing up regularly.
