The ultimate in-line piston

A quick flight in the Mighty Hawker Tempest MkVI

On the runway.

A sharp pull up.

Full power over the top.

Fast and low.

Wheels and flaps come down as I pull her round.

Slightly off centre, but for me at least a nice landing.

Now that was fun
.
The Tempest VI was the last of the three Tempest variants to see RAF service. Powered by the mighty 2340 hp Napier Sabre VA engine it saw service with nine RAF squadrons before being withdrawn in 1949.
The most noticeable difference between the MkV and the MkVI is the Tempest MkII type wing leading edge air intake and oil cooler.
This superb aircraft for FS2K2/4 is by David Hanvey and Paul Barry.
