The question is where you pass most of your flying time. The spot view is a bit unpractical and the 2d panel is too "static", so a virtual cockpit is a perfect feature for a plane, since it can provide a better feeling of "being there" (in a plane) than the other two views.
Otherwise,if the panel has some side views,it's okay,too.
