A Las Vegas Gamble ?

Postby Rifleman » Fri Apr 02, 2004 10:59 am

I know I have done this in the past, and it was not all that hard once I had my trims all set, but I do admit, it started my brain to work on a task which would require a tad more concentration............

Now once it has been done, it begs to be done in a different manner, so here goes....steady on the throttle, elevator, ailerons and rudder.....gotta concentrate if I want to get through this one without contact........

Nicely done Ken!!  one question though....

Do you fly through that and then watch it in instant reply to get your shots?! If I do an instant replay with smoke on, then the smoke is already there before my plane gets there! so are you taking those shots live? or do you do an instant replay?!

Good job!!

Dean, if you want, you can fly the replay over a few times to dissipate the smoke so you get a second fresh pass.....that way you can prove/verify how clean you got through and have shots from different angles .....my shots are all from the same pass, although not always from the same replay.....I try to show that I never swayed from my task ....... ;D

nice flying ken,

cherokee,  we use the smoke and replays. it takes enough just to perform stunts with the limited views in FS.    and we use the smoke because you have to turn the crash off, or the tolerance all the way down or the sim crashes you if you get within 20 feet of an object.  ( to my knowledge you can't even fly under the shuttle at Cape Canaveral with the crash on at all)

so the smoke shows that we weren't cheating.

Cor, tell you what Ken, from your Christmas pic like me bet you had to put quite a bit of ballast in that empty front seat to get that bird in trim ;D

I half expected to see somebody come and surpass this one........not that its all that hard.......I guess no one sees things like this as a challenge anymore ?...Actually though, I know Mark might have, if he had "net" access back when it was posted........ ;)
