Get those fire tankers out!

Postby JBaymore » Tue Apr 06, 2004 6:51 pm

There is a brush fire threatening the Ft. Collins Colorado area.  Call out the fire jumpers and the tankers.

best,

PS:  The scenery file is in the SimV files area.  It's something like the "Picnic Table Fire".

Frontierguy,

Yeah.... this scenery file was done by the author to simulate that fire.

best,

................john

PS:  The effect of the fire is OK...... but the closer you get the less "realistic" it gets.  But from a distance it looks pretty real.

Does it kill your frame rates?

There was one guy who made a bunch of fire sceneries with literally whole forests of animated flames. I was getting only a couple frames per second at best ::)
