agusta in oregon

Postby ruekesj » Thu Apr 01, 2004 1:58 am

i won't be happy till there are as many pictures of helo's on this site as there are pictures of spitfires.  so here's a few of the fabulous agusta 109. Image
complete with a very detailed vc Image Image
this model has such attention to detail that the rotordisk moves in accordance with the collective, forms a cone when under loads, and you can even see the pitch of the blades.

i'm a rotorhead at heart :)

Still struggling to keep her straight and to land.

Does anyone have a few hints for me how to land her? Usually, after getting slower thzan 50knots,she handles slippery and wants to slip out of control...

That is a great helicopter.

Helicopters are the only thing I cheat a bit on in FS9.  I have all the realism sliders maxed, except for general.  I have to turn it down, otherwise I end up in the dirt. ;D

Yeah slippery is not the word.
I think its a case of getting used to her sensitivity.
I have no problem with the Bell, but this one is hard.

she just takes practice.   do you guys fly the r22 much?
i find the beta to be an excellent platform to train because it is just a touch twitchier than the bell.

also...to fly helos, try configuring your joystick in a way that you only have to use your fingers to move it. not gripping it with your whole hand.
