Posted: Wed Mar 10, 2004 10:06 amcool plane, would have been a more effective bomber and had a greater impact on the results of world war 2 if the wings were the right size. shorts designed it to have much higher payloads but Bomber Command mandated that it had to fit in exixsting hangars so they shortened the wings.
