More SFO fun...

Well I recently acquired this new A300 in the beautiful Fed Ex scheme.  This aircraft is an extreme pleasure to fly.  I am not an Airbus fan in any way shape or form, but the A300 is close to being an exception.  This aircraft is probably the most stable aircraft I have ever flown in flight sim.

Oh boy!  Someone wants to race!  ;D

This race is mine!  8)

I had some extreme float action during the flare.  Caused for a slightly delayed, yet gentle touchdown.  So...does that mean we tied?  ::)

Great shots Silver!

I've found that she is a very stable bird to fly as well.  In the many short flights Ive taken with her to inspect a paintjob I'm about to release, I've never had a "mishap"  :o
With some other birds I've painted, they required my full attention at the controls and limited me from taking a good series of ref. pics. :)

Another very realistic bird is SGA's newly updated DC-10!
Among other things, she has dynamic flexing wings...so when you fly in turb., land hard, or just taxi over rough terrain, you'll see the wings bounce!  It is very cool to watch.:)

We should be releasing a cargo version soon. In the mean time, I painted up this one for our FedEx friends:

Great landing by the way. :)  If you took the time to notice, the main gear bogies tilt and follow the ground when you takeoff and touchdown, just like the real thing. :)

Thanks guys!  :)

Oh hey Steve, by the way...I ran into some problems while installing the Fed Ex textures for the SGA DC-10.
The code that is to be installed into the Aircraft.cfg file was missing a value where it says model=.  I had to add the value of 30 and it fixed the problem.

This is what it should look like to get it to work.  :)

description= FedEx repaint by Steve Drabek. The Series 30 offered considerably improved payload and range capability with increased fuel capacity and thrust, which necessitated an increase of 10 feet in wingspan and the addition of a center main landing gear assembly.  Most popular of all the variants, a total of 206 Series 30s were built, including 27 -30CFs, 4 extended range -30ERs, and 12 pure freighter -30Fs.  Unlike the Series 10, most -30s were ordered without the optional lower deck galley to allowed increased cargo capacity. First revenue flight for a Series 30ER was on December 15, 1972 with Swissair. The Series 30CF (Convertible Freighter) was first certified in March 1973 and placed into revenue service in April 1973.
