...into the fire. Actually into SESM airport in Chile, a world renowned airport as it is located in a volcano!

Well after a little debate in the FS2002 section, I did it like this so I thought I would post 'em here. Sorry I lost some quality cropping them. Be glad to send you the larger pics (1152x768 pixels). In reality, if this runway were longer, the 747 could take this landing. It probably could land here...but you know Boeing.

It would require one helluva landing gear inspection, but hey, if I can do it, anyone can! I may take more shots later and post them, these were the more interesting ones. Any more challenges for me? Note: This landing is realstic. The plane I used for this flight was true to real life measurements of Boeing 747-400 performance. The default FS2002 Boeing 747 is highly unrealistic. It is capable of extremely short takeoffs and landings at the highest weights. You may notice I am almost running off the end of the runway in the last picture. That is because the brakes are set to a realistic setting. I stopped the 747-400 (default) in about 3/4 of the runway with a touchdown speed of 110 kts. (which is ridiculous, 747 stall speed at minimum flying weight is above 130 knots). So don't anyone do this in a default 747 then come and say they beat me. 'Cause I'll bet a dime to a dollar you couldn't do it in this one. Hope you enjoy them.
