Ferrying a Junkers JU-52 - Part 5

After grabbing a bite to eat, I headed back to the aircraft, filled the tanks back up, and did my pre-flight. After remembering to check the main gear, I noticed One of the tires looked a little low, but after pumping it back up, it looked ok, so I made another mental note to keep an eye on it. I departed Yakutat at 0100Z Time.
I was glad the weather had finally cleared up. It had stopped raining, the wind had calmed down, the fog rolled over, and besides a few clouds, it was a nice sunny day. It still amazes me how fast the weather can turn here in Alaska.
It was smooth as I climbed up to my cruising altitude where I watched the Alaskan scenery untill the sun started to set. As the sun slowly set, I noticed the aircraft getting colder. A quick glance at the outside air thermometer confirmed that the temprature had dropped down to about 15 degrees below zero. I checked that the cabin heat was still on max while I buttoned my coat up. I had nothing to do now except sit back and relax while listening to my cd/mp3 player as I navigated the aircraft.
There was no wind untill I encountered some turbulence between Ketchikan and Prince Rubert, but after it smoothed out, I was stuck with headwinds that slowed me down.
After almost 6 hours of flying, I was happy when I landed at the Bella Bella airport at 0656Z time, but since it was after 10pm, I wasn't too surprised to find out that since I was in what seemed the middle of nowhere, everyone had gone home. There wasn't anywhere to stay the night, and since I would have frozen to death sleeping in the plane, my only option was to fly on to Port Angeles from here.
